Biography

 

Raechel is a Registered Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, and certified Executive Coach. She is also a proud Indigenous woman (turtle clan).

Raechel completed her Bachelor of Psychology, followed by a Master of Divinity in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Master of Social Work. Most recently, Raechel has taken her love for the social sciences into businesses and corporations through executive coaching. She is the author of the book The Person Behind the Professional: Cognitive Behavioural Coaching for Today’s Workplace and is formally trained in Family Systems Theory, CBT, DBT Motivational Interviewing and EMDR. Raechel is a previous Adjunct Faculty of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine (McMaster University) as well as a sessional Instructor with the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University, and at Adler Graduate Professional School. 

 

A seasoned clinical practitioner, Raechel has maintained a psychotherapy practice for over 20 years with clients across the lifespan. From 2010-2017, she built and then sold a 45 person mental health clinic, serving over 1500 referrals. She has clinically supervised, taught and mentored over 100 practitioners, equipping them with the clinical skills and therapeutic effectiveness needed for successful practice in today’s marketplace. Raechel’s regular teaching appointments have trained social workers, psychotherapists, medical students ard industry leaders, where her topics of instruction have included Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Clinical Supervision, and topics within the realm of coaching and leadership.
