Biography

Harleen comes with a decade of clinical counselling experience. She holds a Master of Counselling Psychology degree and is also an alum of the UBCO MSW program. Her most recent work involves teaching and providing clinical supervision to MSW practicum students at the Foundry Youth Clinic in Kelowna. She has worked for the Centre for the Study of Services to Children and Families at UBCO. Harleen has held various roles including Acute Social Worker, Children who Witness Abuse Counsellor (now known as the PEACE program), and EAP/EFAP Clinical Counsellor.

Harleen enjoys travelling, camping, and swimming. Her simple pleasure in life is drinking chai and reading a book.

Responsibilities

Harleen is the first point of contact for concerns relating to students within the program. She is available for student advising, academic planning, and clinical supervision of students. Her role also includes teaching and course delivery as a lecturer. Her passion is supporting students to ensure their success in the graduate program and prepare them for social work practice.
